The Apollon-Q series offers wireless IoT level sensors with precise measurement results. This is made possible by a unique, complementary measuring principle. The sensor combines optical measurement with radar and measures fill levels up to 2.50 meters.

Whether general cargo, liquids or bulk goods - the Apollon-Q series delivers accurate data. It is suitable for containers, shafts, channels and even small containers such as waste paper baskets.

With optimized range and short measuring and transmission intervals, the Apollon-Q offers many additional functions. It supports common communication standards such as mioty®, NB-IoT, LoRaWAN® and LTE-CAT-M1.

IP69k is the highest protection class: Dust-tight and resistant to high-pressure and high-temperature water jets. Ideal for extreme environments and intensive cleaning.

How does it work?

We use high-performance and current-optimized laser technology for the Apollon-Q. This enables us to record many small measuring points and combine them into a coarse-resolution 3D image. This means that even highly inhomogeneous surfaces, such as those found on piece goods, can be captured more accurately than with conventional methods. In addition, sections of an image can either be viewed more closely or ignored. This allows interfering influences or objects in the sensor image to be masked out. For extremely small containers, such as KLT boxes or waste paper baskets, the image section can be reduced. In this way, the aperture angle can be reduced and the measuring window can be individually adapted to the respective container.

Machine learning delivers better results

The individual measuring points in the selected measuring window can be used to display the rough surface quality of the filling material. The Apollon-Q can access a maximum of 256 individual measured values. Depending on the container, intelligent algorithms determine the fill level of the container, combining the individual measured values to produce a result. Machine learning models support the calculations, allowing even complex cases to be mapped. The measured values as a data basis offer interesting possibilities for many new IoT and IIoT applications. Wireless IoT radar sensor

With the Apollon-Q, Sentinum is not only introducing the first sensor with a dual measuring principle consisting of radar and optical measuring principle, but is also supplying the first size-optimized and cost-effective radar sensor on the market. In principle, radar enables the detection of a measurement object that is covered by other materials. In this way, the Apollon-Q can also be mounted outside plastic tanks and the fill level of liquids in the tank can be determined. In general, radar is very suitable for measuring liquids, metals, moist bulk and piece goods or objects with smooth surfaces. In contrast to other technologies, interfering objects in the depth direction can be ignored. This effect can be seen, for example, when Apollon-Q sensors are used in long pipes with lateral inlets, such as ducts or shafts.
