Compatible with any sensor

Whether it’s a passive 2-wire transmitter or an active 3-wire sensor—the AION420 is available in the right design for either LoRaWAN® or mioty®.

2-wire version

For passive sensors that receive power and signals via the same two wires. Ideal for pressure, level, and temperature transmitters.

3-wire version

For active sensors with separate power and signal lines. Compatible with flow, humidity, and process sensors from all manufacturers.

Mega Feature

Freely Configurable Signal Mapping

Convert the raw 4–20 mA current directly into physical values—bar, meters, %, °C, l/min. The AION420 transmits the scaled measurement value directly to the network. No post-processing, no calculations on the backend.

  • Customizable scaling from 4–20 mA to any physical quantity
  • Linearization along sensor-specific characteristic curves
  • Freely configurable upper and lower limit values with hysteresis
  • Immediate alarm transmission upon limit value violation — including return signal
Example: Pressure sensor
4 mA0 bar
12 mA8 bar
20 mA16 bar
Example: Level
4 mA0%
20 mA100%

If a threshold is exceeded (e.g., > 14 bar), the AION420 immediately sends an alarm—regardless of the next transmission interval.

Retrofit without system intervention

Loop through the signal, get double the benefit

The analog 4–20 mA signal remains available for PLCs, data loggers, and process control systems—while the measured value is transmitted via LPWAN in parallel. No rewiring, no modifications to the existing control system.

1 · Integration

The AION420 is integrated into the existing current loop—passively, without signal distortion.

2 · Galvanic Isolation

Precise measurement with ±0.5% accuracy—the PLC and control system remain unaffected.

3 · Wireless transmission to the cloud

Transmission via LoRaWAN® or mioty® — with ranges of several kilometers.
