Febris SCW – IoT mold sensor with dew point early warning
The Febris SCW measures temperature, relative humidity, and wall surface temperature, and uses this data to calculate wall moisture and the dew point. If there is a risk of mold, it issues an immediate warning via an LED traffic light, buzzer, and web app.

Intelligent mold prevention
Three-way measurement with dew point calculation, direct feedback, and flexible connectivity—all in a compact wall-mounted housing.
Three-way measurement principle
Temperature, relative humidity, and surface temperature—the basis for a reliable mold risk assessment.
Wall Moisture & Dew Point
Calculation of relative humidity directly at the wall surface – condensation risks are detected early.
LED traffic light
Direct visual feedback via a traffic light display (green, yellow, red)—mold risk immediately visible.
Audible alert
Integrated buzzer actively warns when thresholds are exceeded – can be turned on and off via NFC.
Multi-connectivity
LoRaWAN®, mioty®, or NB-IoT/LTE-M – compatible with your existing infrastructure.
NFC configuration
Conveniently configure sensor and network settings as well as thresholds via smartphone using the LinQs app (iOS/Android).
Replaceable AA batteries
4× standard AA batteries, easily replaceable in the field – long runtime, minimal maintenance.
Double-tap measurement
Two quick taps on the sensor immediately trigger a new measurement with visual and audible feedback.
Why Mold Monitoring?
Mold causes significant damage every year and poses a health risk. Early detection allows for targeted intervention before it becomes costly.
Prevent damage
Mold causes significant costs every year. Early warning protects building structures, furnishings, and prevents insurance claims.
Health protection
Mold spores are a serious health risk. Early detection protects residents and employees.
Clarity for tenants and landlords
Objective measurement data documents ventilation and heating patterns—preventing conflicts and disputes.
Smart ventilation control
Threshold-based alerts optimize ventilation cycles without wasting energy unnecessarily.
Long-term analyses
Average values and historical data enable precise analyses and the detection of harmful conditions.
Quality from the DACH region
High-quality sensors from the DACH region—precise, durable, and calibrated for professional use.
Industries and Applications
Ideal for any setting where building structures, occupants, and stored goods need to be protected from moisture damage.
Housing sector
Rental apartments, multi-family homes, and single-family homes – detect mold risks early, avoid remediation costs.
Developers & New Construction
Objectively monitor drying phases and project completion – reduce defects and warranty claims.
Insurance
Data-driven assessment of moisture and mold damage – objectify risks and claims settlement.
Educational institutions
Schools, universities, and kindergartens – Prevent mold growth in classrooms and restrooms.
Healthcare
Hospitals, medical practices, and care facilities – reliably monitor sensitive areas.
Industry & Commerce
Warehouses, break rooms, archives, and sensitive production areas – protect building structures and stored goods.
What makes the Febris SCW special
LED indicator lights, buzzer, NFC configuration, double-tap, and replaceable batteries—plus optional AC power operation for continuous use.
Visual feedback
Direct visual feedback via LED traffic lights: green, yellow, red. Users react immediately and take appropriate action.
Replaceable batteries
4× standard AA batteries – easy to replace via snap-lock. Shorter measurement and transmission intervals possible.
Provisioning via NFC
Activation and configuration via NFC. Sensor- and network-specific settings as well as thresholds via the LinQs app.
Audible feedback
Integrated buzzer provides alerts even without visual contact with the traffic light – can be activated via NFC or set to silent mode.
Power supply
Optionally operable without a battery holder using a power supply – for continuous operation with the shortest transmission intervals.
Double Tap
Two quick taps trigger an immediate measurement. Results are displayed instantly via the traffic light and—in critical situations—via the buzzer.
How mold prevention works
The Febris SCW combines room temperature, relative humidity, and wall surface temperature. From this, it calculates the dew point—that is, the point at which condensation forms on the wall and thus poses a risk of mold.
- Example: 21 °C room, 60% RH → dew point ≈ 12.9 °C. At a wall temperature of 16 °C, this results in ≈ 82% RH on the wall – risk of mold.
- Early warning: Before mold develops, the sensor issues a warning, allowing for timely action.
- Automated ventilation schedules: Ventilation times are optimized based on data – better air quality, lower energy costs.
